Learning SEO Without Drowning

Finding yourself in the middle of the ocean, wondering which direction is the shoreline. I feel like this with SEO. With keywords, backlinks, alt text, and algorithms constantly evolving, it's easy to get overwhelmed. But here's the good news—learning SEO is a journey, not a race. Just like learning a new language or picking up a new hobby (ie. photography turned business), it takes time, practice, and a willingness to explore one concept at a time. Celebrate the small wins, whether it’s optimizing your first title tag or understanding how search engines crawl your site. I am still struggling with Google’s understanding of my site.

The key is to pace yourself. Choose one SEO concept a week to focus on and apply it to your content or website. Keep it fun and treat it like a creative puzzle—because that’s exactly what it is. With consistency and curiosity, you'll soon find your footing and maybe even start enjoying the rhythm of the SEO tide (Dad Joke, Sorta!)
